We manufacture in excess of 400 products including bricks, blocks, roof tiles and pavers for the homebuilding and renovation markets.
We are currently looking to recruit a Design Advisor to be based at our Head Office, Cheadle
Job Outline:
To provide technical customer support for the correct application of all products, and contribute to innovation and product development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
  • To respond to customer enquiries in relation to product technical performance and application in use, and to log enquiries appropriately.
  • To provide a high quality CAD drawing service to external customers and factory units in response to special shaped brick orders. (Both in Autocad & Revit)
  • To co-ordinate and maintain a technical data base for facing brick products in liaison with the Group Quality Manager and Factory QA Departments.
  • To assist in the preparation of graphic material for internal training and presentations to external customers.
  • To provide assistance for specific design projects for the development of new products and systems. Innovation and product development are key aspects of this job.
  • To visit specifiers, contractors and sites as required providing technical support to the sales function, e.g. our specification team.
About You:
  • Construction related academic qualification, e.g. HND, ONC etc.or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a technical role in construction or construction materials manufacturing industry.
  • House building design and construction experience and an understanding of other construction sectors.
  • Knowledge of various forms of construction, e.g. traditional masonry, timber frame, MMC.
  • Ability to carry out detailed drawings in Autocad & Revit
  • Ability to manage drawing systems
  • The ability to convey ideas in a logical and systematic manner.
