6.00am to 5.00pm & 1.00pm to 12.00am on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
The salary currently has 4 grades, these are: Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3 and Technician.  Depending on your level of experience, this relates to an annual salary of between £30,446 Grade 1 & £38,539 Technician (paid weekly), for an average working week of 35 hours.
Guaranteed Overtime:
We will also guarantee you a minimum of 19.5 shifts overtime per year, which still only takes you to an average working week of 38.75 hours. In return the salary range will increase to £34,284 Grade 1 to £43,370 Technician (assuming all overtime is on the day shift, increased payments for other shifts).
About The Role
We are looking for either a recently time served Maintenance Electrician who is either keen to learn new skills on the job and looking to gain valuable experience within a manufacturing environment or a tried and tested experienced Electrician that is able to bring a wealth of knowledge to the team.
The role is to work at our Kingsbury factory, which is one of our flagship sites after a major modernisation programme over the last few years.  The successful candidate will play an integral part in the site maintenance team, joining the existing team of electricians and reporting directly to the Plant Maintenance Manager.
Main Responsibilities
This role will be responsible for maintaining and improving all aspects of the plant and machinery.
Primarily this will involve:
  • Safely maintaining all electrical equipment in a modern fast-paced heavy environment at a major manufacturing site.
  • Assisting with improvement projects to further increase output through better efficiencies.
  • Carrying out checks and working with the maintenance management system.
  • Improving equipment performance through lean continuous improvement techniques, using OEE and problem-solving to identify areas for improvement.
  • Troubleshooting and improving the programs that drive the plant
  • Assist with implementation and use of the preventative maintenance programme.
  • Preventative and reactive maintenance.
  • Diagnosing faults on Siemens S5/S7 driven machinery.
About You
You will be a time-served electrical apprentice and with some (or a lot of) experience in an automated industrial manufacturing environment.
Ideally you with have some Siemens S7 programming knowledge and perhaps some experience of the S5 system.
You will enjoy working to deadlines and under moderate pressure.  
You will be self-motivated and will work safely at all times.
