Hours: 7.00am to 6.00pm & 1.00pm to 12.00am on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

About The Role

We are currently seeking to recruit a Maintenance Electrician to work at our Kingsbury factory, which is one of our flagship sites after a major modernisation programme over the last few years.  The successful candidate will play an integral part in the site maintenance team, joining the existing team of electricians and reporting directly to the Plant Maintenance Manager.
 
Main Responsibilities
 
This role will be responsible for maintaining and improving all aspects of the plant and machinery.
 
Primarily this will involve:
  • Safely maintaining all equipment in a modern fast-paced heavy manufacturing environment at a major manufacturing site.
  • Assisting improvement projects to further increase output through better efficiencies
  • Carrying out checks and working with the maintenance management system.
  • Improving equipment performance through lean continuous improvement techniques, using OEE and problem-solving to identify areas for improvement.
  • Troubleshooting and improving the programs that drive the plant
  • Assist with implementation and use of the preventative maintenance programme as well as assist in ordering spares
  • Corrective and reactive maintenance.
  • Diagnosing faults on Siemens S5/S7 driven machinery.
About You
 
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and will work safely at all times.
They will have a time-served apprenticeship and experienced in an automated industrial manufacturing environment, ideally with Siemens S7 programming knowledge and perhaps some experience of the S5 system. You will enjoy working to deadlines and under moderate pressure.  
A good communicator with the ability to work under pressure, thorough attention to detail and high standards of workmanship.
