We are currently seeking to recruit a National Sales Manager to lead the Penter brand in the UK.
 
Job Outline:
 
To lead and manage the Penter brand in the UK. To negotiate and manage key relationships with distribution and supply chain partners at group level. Maintain a close liaison with the Construction, Housing & Merchant teams to achieve the company’s strategic ambitions. Meet and exceed the agreed targets for sales and profitability.
 
The role will incorporate a broad spectrum of responsibilities including key account management, brand management and provision of technical advice on the use of the Company’s products to both internal personnel and customers on across a range of scapes. The role requires frequent travel within the UK and occasionally overseas.
 
Main responsibilities:
 
  • Provide leadership for Sales, Marketing, Technical and Operations to maintain and grow the Penter Brand as the No 1 choice for clay in the UK market place
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales - Construction in the strategic development of the UK Penter Brand
  • Management of Key Distribution and Supply Chain Partnerships
  • Development and management of Customer Relationships with Transactional (Contractors/Groundworkers/Civils Merchants) and Non-Transactional (Architects/Landscape Architects/Local Authorities) accounts
  • Liaise and co-ordinate with the UK Sales Management team to help achieve and exceed Penter business targets.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with Import/Export Teams to deliver the company’s growth ambitions
  • Identification and development of landscape product and system opportunities from within WB Group
  • Management of key customers on large scale developments/major pipeline projects
  • Development and delivery of CPDs, or other technical/training seminars, as required to a variety of customer sectors such as designers, distributors, sales partners, contractors and internal teams.
 
 
Skills & Experience: 
 
  • A working knowledge of the Hard Landscaping sector, understanding the dynamics of supply chain from specification through to project delivery.
  • Experience of differing contract types and their impact on the management of a project is crucial. It will be essential that the National Sales Manager can build relationships across all disciplines - designers, contractors and distribution.
  • Experience of Key Account Management through Distribution
  • A high standard of presentation skills will be required, presenting to both Senior Directors/Managers within Wienerberger and its customer base.
  • The ability to work as a proactive team play, with a can-do attitude will be essential in succeeding in this role.
