Technical Assistant – Temporary contract

Location: Aldridge, Walsall, West Midlands. WS9 8BL
Hours: Full Time, 8.00am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday.
Duration: 12 month contract

We are currently seeking to recruit a Technical Assistant at our Sandown site on a 12 month temporary contract to cover maternity.

We manufacture in excess of 400 products including bricks, blocks, roof tiles and pavers for the homebuilding and renovation markets.
The Role:
To ensure the factory’s compliance with quality assurance standards and fulfil all tasks and responsibilities in accordance with the quality manuals as well as monitor the quality of the product during, pre and post production to ensure a consistent, high level of quality is maintained.

Main Responsibilities:
  • All aspects of product quality within the factory.
  • All aspects of Process Control which affect product quality including sampling and testing at specific stages in the production process and compliance testing of the final product.
  • Take an active role in any process/product trials
  • Be responsible for production documentation control and traceability and its use in problem solving and continual improvement projects.
  • To be part of the internal and external QA audit process.
  • To manage, maintain and operate all quality control systems.
  • Apply direct feedback to process owners to improve production performance
Skills & Experience:
  • Experience within an automated manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • GCSE Maths and English.
  • Computer Literate.
  • Strong communication skills and able to work as part of a team.
Hours: 8.00am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday.
