We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Public Relations Specialist based at our Cheadle Head Office.

The Marketing Team

The Wienerberger marketing team comprises both category management and communications specialists. The team was recently awarded In house Marketing Team of the Year at the Northern CIM awards and has also won two national CIM awards for campaigns.
 
About The Role
 
We’re seeking an experienced PR professional to drive and advise on our PR and content strategy, ensuring all activity is in line with our business aims and ambitions. Maintaining Wienerberger’s position as a thought leader, the new recruit will be at home with channel specific campaigns, tailoring content to set audiences and championing tone of voice in relation to brand guidelines.  
 
Working within our marketing team, but maintaining a close dialogue with category managers and numerous other stakeholders within the business, we’re looking for a communications expert who will support our desire to keep content fresh, interesting and informative. Staying abreast of industry developments and competitor analysis will also be critical, alongside the ability to spot the potential for a story and deliver the associated outputs. 
 
Main Responsibility:                         
  • Ownership and management of the PR strategy
  • Copywriting and content development (including editorial development, forward features, case studies, award entries, blogs, social media content and internal comms)
  • Media relations (trade and national) – distribution and sell in
  • Social media strategy and management
  • Crisis comms management (in partnership with senior management and external agency if required)
  • Monthly reporting
About You
 
Essential Experience:
 
  • A minimum of three years’ ownership of B2B PR strategy
  • Strong writing skills (adaptable by platform)
  • Evidence of creativity
  • Evidence of using B2B marketing segmentation to create clearly targeted messaging
  • Evidence of working with extended teams (including the ability to influence at all levels)
  • Internal comms experience
  • Evidence of working to meet KPIs
  • Budget management experience
 
Desirable Experience:
 
  • Knowledge of construction market and supply chain
  • Experience of managing tone of voice guidelines
  • Experience of crisis comms management
  • Experience of working with external agencies
  • Experience of working within a pan European organisation
